We travelled up from Sheffield as friends brought us some and obviously it was wonderful. The shop is absolutely top notch and the young lady who was there was lovely and gave us a taste of snacks they had done which were gorgeous. The staff are great, always chatty and smiling, nothing is too much trouble, the food is consistently nice, we have taken several members of the family when they come to visit, and they all ask for us to take them some more, we try different dishes, and we are never disappointed, the prices are fantastic too,  well done Spices and Rices, I can’t think of any way to improve, one word to describe would be Fantastic.

Placed an order for collection tomorrow. 10 quid for chicken dopiaza, rice, samosas and large chilli onion dip. Very friendly young woman took the order.  Will update review with pics tomorrow. Excited as first time ordering from here. UPDATE: So I picked up my order - see the photos. The weight specified on the Dopiaza (200g) was wrong - was more like 380g. The pic of the plated-up meal is half of the dopiaza, rice and chilli onion dip; and 2 of the 5 samosas. I also bought two packs of 2 poppadums (£1 per pack) - no tincluded in the £10 I prepaid. First thing to say - the food was delicious. My only query is whether what I got was actually a Chicken Dopiaza. There was a lot of chicken but I didn't detect much onion (what Dopiaza is known for). Also the sauce was quite creamy so I assume it had yoghurt in. Not really what I expect (from experiences in other restaurants and takeaways) from a Dopiaza. I guess everyone has their own recipe... It was lovely though and will be finishing it off tonight. I'll definitely order again - you can't argue with the quality or the prices.

We ordered for 25 people for our 25th wedding anniversary and couldn't have been happier.  From ordering to the actual day was simple.  Setting up on the day was carried out without any problems and  we had time for a lovely chat.  The food was fabulous as normal and all our guest thought so too.
